News News “Deniz” newspaper E-publications Photo gallery Video gallery More than 100 ships underwent repair at ASCO shipyards last year 13.01.2022 10:07 More Than 100 Ships Underwent Repair at ASCO Shipyards Last Year In 2021, totally 106 vessels underwent repair in “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Yard and “Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO). 40 of those ships were repaired at “Zigh” and 66 – at “Bibi-Heybat” shipyard. Last year, “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Yard carried out a major overhaul of 9 ships, dock repairs of 18 ships, and current repairs of 13 ships. 33 of repaired vessels are owned by the ASCO Transportation Fleet, 2 - by the Production Services Department, 3 - by the Offshore Fleet, and 2 - by other organizations. “Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard carried out a major overhaul of 18 ships, dock repairs of 35 ships, and current repairs of 13 ships. 61 of those ships are owned by the ASCO Caspian Sea Oil Fleet and 5 – by external companies. The repair was carried out with the participation of highly qualified ASCO specialists following the requirements of international conventions. It should be noted that both ASCO’s “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Yard and “Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard provide a wide range of professional ship repair and marine engineering services. The main activities of the factories are the repair of ships and technical equipment, as well as the manufacture of various spare parts for ships based on orders.
