After major overhaul ferry “Aghdam” is back in service
The overhaul of ferry vessel “Aghdam” has been completed. The repair of the vessel, which belongs to the Transportation Fleet of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), have been completed at “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Yard.
Thus, the main and auxiliary engines of the vessel, the pipe system, mechanisms (pumps), and separators were repaired. In addition, electrical installation, automation works, and welding of the hull were carried out.
In addition, the main deck of the ferry, the machinery of the engine room, the underwater and the surface of the vessel were abraded and painted. The living and service areas have been renovated in compliance with contemporary standards.
After the completion of the repair, the ship was successfully tested and put into operation.
