During the meeting, the current state of cooperation between ACSC and RS was discussed. Chairman of the Shipping Company Mr. Rauf Veliyev informed the guests about the work carried out in the Shipping Company for the last 4 years. It was noted that maintaining the technical condition of the fleet vessels is one of the main conditions for the implementation of strategic objectives. Rauf Veliyev noted the ongoing work to update the fleet of the Shipping Company and maintain the vessels in good condition. As an example, the Chairman of the Shipping Company told the guests about the “Dagestan” ferry, which was decomissioned and returned to operation after modernization with the Shipping Company’s own funds. During the meeting, it was stressed that started form 2015 ACSC received facurable opinions from influential audit companies in the field of financial and corporate governance. The General Director of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping Mr. Konstantin Palnikov noted that the successes achieved in the implementation of modern management systems in the activities of the Shipping Сompany of Azerbaijan, which has a 160-year history, are highly appreciated. According to him, the classification society he represents is satisfied with the level of successful cooperation with ACSC. The guest, speaking about the activities of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, stressed that the representative offices of the classification society function in Russia and in many countries of the world, including in Azerbaijan, which allows the rapid and reliable provision of multidisciplinary services in the shipping industry. Prospects of cooperation between the parties were discussed at the meeting.
