Young people working in various structures of the company, active students of the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy and the Marine College attended the event. At the beginning of the event, the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded. Speaking at the opening ceremony, ASCO First Deputy Chairman Mubariz Jabbarov said that the organization of the First Independent Youth Forum of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the adoption of February 2 as Youth Day are connected with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Today, President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the youth policy laid down by the great leader. Thanks to the care and attention of President Ilham Aliyev, the youth of Azerbaijan became a stratum playing a significant role in the development of society. The First Deputy Chairman of ASCO also spoke about the projects of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation aimed at the comprehensive development of youth. He noted that the projects implemented on the initiative of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, decently represent the interests of Azerbaijani youth in the world. Mubariz Jabbarov said that ASCO is always trying to contribute to youth policy in the country: “Currently, most of the company’s employees are young people. Some of them work in leadership positions. Young people who are well educated and are good specialists will always be able to work in the positions they deserve ”, he added. Representatives of active ASCO youth also spoke at the event. They appreciated the steps taken by talented and promising young people representing ASCO to study abroad and gain international experience in the field of navigation. In the next part of the event, the participants were involved in competition on the topic “Preparing for work indoors, and evacuating victims in the event of an accident.” 10 teams consisting of seafarers who work in various structures of ASCO, technical managers and students of the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy and the Marine College participated at the competition. Winners were selected based on the opinion of the jury. They received certificates. The head of the HR department Sevda Mammadova congratulated the winners and wished them success in their future activities. Sevda Mammadova also provided detailed information on ASCO staff planning, the development of knowledge and skills of employees, the evaluation of their performance and the improvement of social security.
