ASCO Takes the Necessary Preventive Measures against Coronavirus
Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) carries out the necessary preventive measures on coronavirus (“2019-nCoV”), which has spread in China.
The ASCO Department of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (QHSE) notified seafarers through a radiogram about the symptoms of coronavirus and methods of protection against it. In order to inform employees, a specially prepared “Security Bulletin” was sent to all of them by e-mail.
As part of the preventive measures, ASCO gave an instruction to provide protective equipment, such as gloves, respirators, goggles and overalls, to crews of ferry vessels bound for Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Also, ships strictly monitor compliance with sanitary standards and rules, and the disinfection regime.
