The ship "Lənkəran" participated in the project for assessing the ecological condition of the Caspian Sea
ASCO’s “Lankaran” tug-supply vessel took part in ecological research of the seabed around the "Absheron" gas-condensate field in the Caspian Sea.
Between November 23 and December 22 of this year, the vessel operated continuously in DP mode, collecting sedimentary rocks and water samples from depths of 20 to 60 meters at 85 predetermined coordinates.
The collected samples, obtained using special equipment installed on the vessel, were sent to relevant laboratories for analysis.
The research, conducted at the request of “Greenwich Consulting Azerbaijan,” will enable the assessment of environmental conditions prior to the construction of underwater oil and gas infrastructure in the Caspian Sea in the future.
