The TITR Working Group meeting held in Tbilisi

On December 3-4, 2024, the Working Group on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) convened in Tbilisi, Georgia. The meeting was organized by the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (hereinafter the Association).

The meeting was also attended by Ruslan Gurbanov, Head of the Operations and Commercial Department of ASCO, and Niyameddin Aslanov, Senior Specialist of the department.

As of 11 months of 2024, 50,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) were transported along the TITR route, demonstrating steady growth in freight volumes and the high efficiency of the implemented strategic initiatives.

It was noted that since the beginning of the year, 328 container trains have been operated along the TITR route, with 304 of them originating from the People’s Republic of China. This highlights the high demand for the route and its importance for international transportation, as well as the need for its further development.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the approval of freight tariff rates for the TITR route for 2025. Participants also agreed on development plans and projected freight volumes for the upcoming year, with a focus on the prioritizing expansion of services and increasing transit container volumes.
