“ASCO-Denizchi” took the second place among 16 teams in the mini-football tournament hosted by Moscow
On September 14-15, Moscow hosted an International mini- football tournament «Marine and River Ports V Cup »
Football team of CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) took part in the tournament held at the stadium of the football team “Spartak. In total, 16 teams attended the tournament held in intense competition atmosphere.
In the quarterfinals, our team played against Vladivastok. The game ended with the victory of “ASCO-Denizchi” – 4: 0
ASCO team progressed further to the semifinals, and played against “Seremetyevo Handling”, the triple winner of the tournament. This match resulted with the ASCO-Denizchi’s success: 2 : 1.
In the final, Astrakhan Caspian Shipping Company was the ASCO’s competitor. Our team lost the match with a score of 1:0.
Thus, “ASCO-Denizchi” ranked second among 16 teams and was awarded a special cup for the first ever participation in the tournament.
Note that the purpose of the international charitable mini-football tournament “Marine and River Ports Cup” is to maintain and strengthen friendship relations between river and marine shipping companies and promote physical culture and healthy lifestyles.
