512 sq.m of solar panels installed at “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard

As part of the ongoing efforts to implement environmentally friendly technologies, 162 solar panels, each with a capacity of 690 W, have been installed on a 512 sq.m area of the roof of one of the production workshops at ASCO’s “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard.

The system consists of solar panels, an inverter, cabling, a SCADA control device, and a meter. The inverter has a 10-year warranty, while the solar panels come with a 25-year warranty.

According to estimates, the Absheron Peninsula experiences 2200-2400 hours of sunshine per year. Based on this, the system installed at the “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard is expected to generate 240-260 MW of electricity annually at 380 Volts.

This project, implemented within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World,” aims to enhance and optimize energy efficiency, and represents ASCO’s contribution to environmental protection initiatives.
