The delegation from ASCO visited the Aframax tanker "Zangazur

The delegation, consisting of Rauf Veliev, Chairman of the Management Board of "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping" CJSC (ASCO), and other ASCO staff, visited the Aframax tanker "Zangazur," which was performing dischargin operations at the STAR Refinery in Turkey.

The delegation on-site reviewed matters related to the management of the vessel, including its current operational condition and the organization of tanker maintenance.

The master of the vessel provided an overview of the tanker’s management and crew composition, emphasizing that since the "Zangazur" was put into service over the past year, all her operations have adhered to the requirements of international conventions.

The Chairman asked the vessel's master and chief engineer to train Azerbaijani seafarers undergoing internships, as well as those who will be assigned to the main crew after completing their internships, in operating large Aframax tankers and to assist them in further developing their skills in this area.

During the visit, the ASCO Chairman also inquired about the adaptation process of Azerbaijani seafarers who had recently joined the tanker crew and discussed with them the benefits of working on Aframax-type vessels. The seafarers expressed their gratitude for the opportunity provided.

It is important to note that after completing their internship on this vessel, Heydar Hajiev was appointed as the Fourth Engineer, and Vusal Alakbarov as the Third Officer.  Ignat Hadjigayubov was employed as a professional engine-room mechanic in the crew of the tanker "Zangazur."
