First voyage of "Zangilan" tanker to Alaja, Turkmenistan

First voyage "Zangilan" tanker, built at Baku Shipyard according to "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company" CJSC (ASCO) order and commissioned on July 2 with participation of President Ilham Aliyev, took place to Alaja port in Turkmenistan.

Tanker delivered crude oil received here to Sangachal Sea Port on July 17.

Permanent crew of new generation tanker "Zangilan" with 141 meters length and 16.9 meters width consists of 15 people. Vessel has 6 cargo tanks with 9212 cubic meters total capacity, and 7800 tons full load capacity.

Technical parameters of vessel, especially the draft, allows it to enter relatively shallow ports of the Caspian basin and transport cargo outside the Caspian basin with maximum load capacity.

"Zangilan" is the fourth domestic tanker built at Baku Shipyard. Unlike tankers "Lachin" and "Kelbajar", commissioned earlier, "Zangilan", as well as "Akademik Khoshbakht Yusifzade" tanker can transport both oil and chemical products.

It should also be noted that it is planned to build three more tankers for ASCO at Baku Shipyard. In this regard, orders have been placed and relevant agreements have been signed.
