The book “Great leader Heydar Aliyev and national shipping policy” was published
Great leader Heydar Aliyev is a man of genius of Azerbaijan, a country with thousands years of history. He is the savior of the nation, our state, architect and founder of New Azerbaijan.
Today, the rise of our country and the development in all spheres is the triumph of Heydar Aliyev’s wise ideas. During the years when this great personality ruled Azerbaijan, he attached special attention to the maritime transport. We can say with full confidence that the great leader had a valuable role in the history of the Caspian Shipping Company. The book “Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and National Shipping Policy” is dedicated to 50th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s rise to power in Azerbaijan and provides information on his contribution to shipping industry in the country.
The book was published by the order of the CJSC “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company”.
The book is about the care and attention demonstrated to shipping industry by national leader Heydar Aliyev from his early days when he started to rule the country until the end of his life.
The first chapter dedicated to the short history of shipping history in Azerbaijan is followed by a chapter called as “Beginning of Heydar Aliyev – the new era”.
The chapter “The hot summer of 69” tells about the history of the Great Leader’s election to the country, and then speaks about the developments and changes that have begun in the country. Interestingly, only a few days after Heydar Aliyev came to power on July 14, 1969, the issue “about the work of Caspian Shipping Administration” was included into agenda of the meeting of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan on 22 July. Only this fact creates a clear impression on how the National Leader approached to shipping industry to revitalize the country economy.
The book details the actions taken to revitalize oil industry during the rule of Heydar Aliyev, promote local and national talents in shipping industry, enhance the professionalism, strengthen labor discipline and so on referring to concrete facts and archival documents.
The chapter titled “Moscow Period of the Great Leader’s Activity” is about the years when Heydar Aliyev headed the Soviet transport system as First Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers.
A separate chapter is dedicated to key actions taken, decisions made by National Leaders in the field of shipping in the post- independence years.
The last chapter of the book “The new stage in the development of the shipping,” is dedicated to structural changes and achievements in the field of national shipping in the country during the presidency of the President Ilham Aliyev.
The book was written on the basis of numerous documents kept in the archives of Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as books on history of shipping, as well as memories of people who lived at that time.
