The seafarers’ families took part in the sports-tourism competition titled “My Father, My Mother and Me”
“Dad, Mom and Me” sport-tourism competition was held in Nabran recreation zone of Khachmaz jointly organized by Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
The event is dedicated to the International Children’s Day – June 1. The main goal was to promote healthy lifestyles.
The competition held under the supervision of ASCO’s Social Development and Transport Department staff, lasted two days.
Participants set up a tent to win the competition, overcome obstacles in the forest, throw balls into the basket, cross the ropes of labyrinths, move through the rope attached to two trees, shoot arrows and so on. They have tested their strength in the competition. According to the rules, the flexibility of the smallest members of the family, not just parents, played an important role in winning the competition.
According to the results of the competitions, Mustafayev’s family (boy), representative of the “Bibiheybat” ship repair yard and the Javadov’s family (girl) of “ASCO Transport” LLC. The second place was taken by Ismayilovs family (girl) from the Navy fleet and the Nashirov family (boy) of “Zigh” Ship repair and construction yard. The third place is taken by the Khalilovs family of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet and the Rustamovs family representing the Bibiheybat Shipyard.
The winners were awarded diplomas and prizes.
It should be noted that volleyball competitions were held among the employees of ASCO and SOCAR within the framework of the sport-tourism race. SOCAR team won the match with a score of 3-2.
