ASCO Chairman met with the female staff members
Rauf Valiyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), met with the female staff members on the occasion of 8th of March – International Women’s Day.
Congratulating the ladies on this holiday, the Chairperson underlined the exceptional role of female members of the Company in the formation, development and protection of national and spiritual values of Azerbaijani people. He also referred to a number of brave women who currently work in ASCO.
Rauf Valiyev said that thanks to a policy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully followed by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani women enjoy equal opportunities in all spheres of public life, and they are closely involved in the socio-political, scientific and cultural life of the country.
Ms. Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, First Vice- President, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, the great promoter of national values and cultural heritage, who played invaluable role in putting our nationwide problems on the international agenda, is a good example on what Azerbaijani women is capable to.
