Rescue and Survival at Sea - VIDEO
If there is no boat or raft on board during of the accident, seafarers are required to leave the ship by personal life-saving appliances.
In order to swim to the nearest visible object it is recommended to group in the form of a "chain". In the process of teamwork, the amount of energy wasted during swimming is distributed equally among all crew members, ensuring the arrival at the destination.
The instructions and safety measures for survival on the water are conducted during the “Rescue and Survival at Sea” training. Classes are conducted by professional instructors in the pool of the ASCO training center.
